Peter Kirsch and Steve van Beek from Steer jointly presented a session on the landscape of public-private partnerships at airports in the United States.  The presentation, part of the Transportation Research Board Airport Cooperative Research Program insight event on private investment in airports, stressed how private investment in the United States operates within an entirely different framework than investment elsewhere in the world in the airport sector and how the history of federal and local government involvement in capital funding has made private investment especially challenging.
