On June 5, 2019, on behalf of the National Audubon Society, the Firm filed an amicus brief supporting the continued protection of the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument in the face of a legal challenge brought by commercial fishing interests.  The Monument contains a unique and biodiverse ecosystem and provides wintering habitat for the Atlantic puffin, a vulnerable seabird species that Audubon has long studied and sought to protect.  Our firm proudly represents Audubon in this effort to preserve the Monument’s unique features for scientific study.
