At the virtual Airport Law Workshop, Peter Kirsch and Shanita Asante offered a presentation for airport lawyers on managing airport crises and the legal considerations in addressing unpredictable, and often publicly controversial matters.  With a particular focus on airport sponsors’ responses to the pandemic, the presentation explained the legal constraints that limit how an airport sponsor can respond to a crisis and why understand the legal authority of an airport sponsor is indispensable to an effective crisis response.
